STATES AVENUE BEACH.

MUST BE PAID BY FRIDAY BEFORE THE CONTEST ( August 12th ) NO LATE ENTRIES.
NO BEACH REGISTRATION. 24 SLOTS AVAILABLE.EVERY ENTRY FEE INCLUDES Shirt.,
TROPHIES FOR TOP 6 FINISHERS.

Refreshments and music on the deck following the contest on both evenings.
All ACBP guards and officers are invited.

18 DAY WINDOW -CONTEST IS ONLY ONE MORNING
BOARD LENGTH WILL BE AT LEAST 8 FEET; LEASHES OPTIONAL
JUDGING CRITERIA: 1) LARGEST WAVE 2) MOST DARING MANUEVER  3) LONGEST RIDE
20 MINUTE HEATS, BEST 3 WAVES. FINALS, 20 MINUTES, BEST 4 WAVES.  DEPENDING ON PADDLE,        CLOCK MAY START WHEN FIRST SURFER GETS OUT.
MAXIMUM WAVE SCORE IS 20 POINTS
50% MINIMUM ADVANCEMENT. NO EXCEPTIONS. WE DO NOT ALWAYS NEED TO HAVE A 6 MAN HEAT.

AIRHORNS AND A GREEN AND YELLOW FLAG WILL START AND END EACH HEAT; A 5 MINUTE WARNING       WILL BE GIVEN. COLORED VESTS WILL BE WORN.
INTERFERENCE WILL ONLY BE CALLED IF THERE IS A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR SAFETY OR        UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT. THE INTERFERENCE WILL RESUlT IN THE LOSS OF YOUR LOWEST        SCORING WAVE.
ALL JUDGING AND TABULATION WILL BE DONE BY NON-LIFEGUARDS.
CONTEST DIRECTOR IS RICHARD SLESS (NON-COMPETITOR)
YOU MAY CALL NEW HAMPSHIRE AVENUE STATION BETWEEN 4:00 AND 6:00 EACH EVENING BEGINNING       ON MONDAY, August 14th TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF THE CONTEST. CONTEST DIRECTOR WILL       BROADCAST IF THE CONTEST IS A "GO" THROUGH ACBP COMMUNICATIONS THE PREVIOUS DAY .

 NOTE: THE JUDGING CRITERIA IS DESIGNED TO GIVE ALL SURFERS AN EQUAL CHANCE OF WINNING. THIS IS A BIG WAVE CONTEST FOR LIF'EGUARDS.
CONDITIONS WILL ALWAYS BE RIDEABLE, NOT UNREALISTIC STORM SURF.
THE JUDGES WILL BE LOOKING FOR TUBE RIDES, OFF THE TOP MANUEVERS, FLOATERS. WORKING YOUR BOARD (WALKING, SPINNERS, ETC.), CUTBACKS AND ANY OTHER DARING OR STYLISH MANUEVER.
